For only sleeping 6 1/2 hours I felt pretty good.
I did most of my morning routine but skipped morning pages because I fell into a conversation with my son. Yoga was very nice. I had breakfast, finished the last stripe on the crochet blanket and started the first border round, volunteered to buy salad (and chocolate), tried writing morning pages but somehow never got around to it, walked to the health food store and back and sat down to eat the rest of the lasagna:
The Duo owl was not happy that I skipped my morning lesson:
I always skip the morning lesson on Monday because that puts you in a less competitive part of the league you’re currently in. If you start Monday bright and early you get to compete against all the other highly motivated learners.
The I had plans to do all the things in the afternoon but first the boy showed up again and we talked and showed each other stuff on Twitter while he ate lunch. Then I started packing in earnest. The outfit I had planned to wear to my aunt’s birthday didn’t work at all so I switched to something different. In the and I did manage to cram everything into the backpack but just barely.
I also got the new keyboard case for my iPad that I had ordered. I had hoped to take it on the trip. The one I’m using now is not only looking rather shabby, it also keeps telling me that it couldn’t connect and often I have to jiggle the connection between the tablet and the keyboard to use it.
But. The new case was at least twice as heavy, rather bulky and while the keyboard was detachable it was so detachable that it just fell out of the case. I did like the extra slot for the Apple Pencil, one of the irritating things about the old case is that the Pencil falls off a lot.
After trying the new case out for about half an hour, charging it completely and testing if it fits into the pouch I have for the iPad I decided to return it. I do not want to carry something that is as heavy and unwieldy as a laptop.
By then it was already dinnertime. I had started the dough for the Hefezopf around 4 and then I spent 2 1/2 hours packing and doing such fun things as looking for the USB hub that goes with the tablet for twenty minutes. I also charged all my electronics, folded the rest of the laundry and put all the clothes on the chairdrobe away. Which meant that I found not one but two pair of black leggings that I had been looking for for a while.
I formed the Zopf while talking with the boy again, put it in the oven, took a shower and cut my toenails, decided to leave the dirty dishes as is and to write a note that there were even more dirty dishes in the living room, started writing this post, watched a bit of C-drama while crocheting and went to bed.
Today will be spent on trains from 9.30 until 6. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. But things should be fine.
