I went to bed at 11.30 which is good but not good enough. I had all the best intentions to jump out of bed right after the alarm went off but, well…
It was also another day of no morning routine but I had a valid excuse in having to eat breakfast an hour earlier than usual so I could leave the house in time for shockwave therapy. My feet had been increasingly painful the past week so it was highly unlikely the last session that insurance would pay for would do the trick.
Everything went well, I caught the bus on time, listened to an episode of the „Creative Penn“-podcast and more BTS, got zapped in the foot and then saw a doctor who told me he had no idea why insurance only covers 3 sessions of shockwave therapy when all the research is on five sessions. He recommended another two sessions to which I agreed. I’ll have to pay out of pocket and was relieved to hear that it’s only around 40 Euros per session.
When I returned home the sky was starting to look dark with impending rain. I talked with my husband and did the dishes and was rather reluctant to get out again for the supermarket run. Especially when it started raining. But then I saw that we had completely run out of frozen blueberries so I really had no choice. At least I got to try my spiffy new bike helmet rain cover for the first time. It makes me look even more like a dork but at least my hair stays a little drier.
So groceries were acquired, I came back home, unpacked the groceries, helped chop things for the salad and we had lunch:
More talking with husband but not much more.
My first two students asked for online lessons. During the second one I could barely understand anything because there was hail drumming on the studio’s skylight. Using earphones helped but they didn’t pick up the piano so I was constantly pulling them out of the tablet again when demonstrating things.
Then I had a 30-minute break that I had wanted to use for proofreading. I had even set up my laptop and everything ready to go but then my husband had some computer trouble that he needed help with. And then the next student didn’t show up. I spent half an hour waiting. If I had known beforehand I could have spent time on the manuscript.
Then two more students, the last one canceled the night before, dinner, talking to the boy and to my husband, slumping around because I was exhausted and tired, then I started writing this post, did the dishes and Duolingo, watched some C-drama and went to bed.
One more teaching day before the break.
