Since I had stayed up until midnight I did not jump out of bed fresh and energetic at 7. I did force myself to do the morning routine but was interrupted while meditating because my husband was a little early. And yes, I only meditate for three minutes in the mornings.
I might have used up all my executive function for the day at that point. On the other hand my weekly routines were also off kilter, because of the doctor’s appointment I had moved stuff around and I don’t always deal with that well. So, we were late already, then I waited for my husband to leave so he could meet a friend for lunch and with all of that I ended up just sitting there unmoving until it was high time I turned the oven on for frozen pizza. The boy declared it to be tasty but somewhat unsatisfying and I concur:
I did manage to finally do all the dishes including the ones we used at breakfast.
Then I taught four students, talked briefly with my husband, fell down a Twitter hole, started writing this post, did Duolingo, watched C-drama and went to bed.
I have an inkling that the missing ingredient in these unproductive days is sleep the night before. Will report back.
