I mean, it was inevitable, I went to bed just before midnight and woke up from the alarm. I did manage the full morning routine the second morning in a row which is good. Talked with my husband, ate breakfast, crocheted, played some silly games, went online, read a bit, listened to one movement of Schubert’s string quintet (highly recommended) while doing the breakfast dishes, spent some time online, decided that I had enough of never going outside in nature and that just walking for twenty minutes should be fine and went outside:
It was nicer than it looks on this picture, when I had reached this bridge I turned back again:
I met someone I knew from back when I went running and walking three times a week. We usually just nod at each other in a friendly manner but this time he actually stopped on his bike to ask how I was because he hadn’t seen me for so long. Well, plantar fasciitis and all. It’s a bit of a weird feeling to be missed by someone I don’t really know.
Walking for half an hour was not the best of ideas, naturally, but I’m still happy I did it. My feet are complaining, though.
I came back home, helped a bit with lunch and ate with my husband. The food was late but very good:
We talked some more, then I took a break and waited for the package with my shampoo. Among other things. While I was waiting (and reading and scrolling Instagram) the boy showed up and we talked while he was eating. I forced him to go through the stuffed animal but he wanted to keep them all so I made him take the two bags with him upstairs to put into the attic. My living room is full enough without them.
Just as the boy was leaving my husband showed up again to talk some more and with one thing or the other I never really got my afternoon started. I went online, I ate cake, I went some more online and played silly games and talked with my husband again and all of a sudden to was 9 pm and I still hadn’t taken a shower, done Duolingo or washed the lunch dishes. So I did Duolingo, started writing this post, did the dishes, took a shower and then watched some C-drama despite the late hour.
So, no proofreading all day. But a lot of one-on-one time with the rest of the family.
