I went to bed at 1 am because I had so much fun on YouTube. And then I was all tired all day yesterday.
The day went well anyway, with all the usual things including talking to my mother on the phone, knitting, helping with lunch a little, folding laundry, starting laundry and hanging up fresh laundry, and in the afternoon my husband and I pulled together and cleaned the house so that it is livable again.
We had a grocery shopping fail, none of the things he wanted to cook were in the house but we ate excellent rice and lentils:

I spent most of the afternoon playin my video game, then did some cleaning and then did bodyweight training with the boy. Dinner while reading, then I started writing this post, and then I finally turned to the thing that was the most important on my list: reviewing May and making plans for June.
Things I wanted to do in May:
- Turn the lights out at 10.30 or earlier: I managed that exactly 4 times, ahem.
- Continue regular exercise: done.
- Continue writing the current novel: done. I had the faint hope of finishing it this month, that did not work out.
- Write an author newsletter: done.
- Make an Amazon Author Central Page: nope
- (Almost) no sugar challenge: okay. I ate more sugar than I wanted on two days but that was mostly it.
- Ply purple Corriedale: not done. I still need to do spinning wheel maintenance. But I did start plying.
- Make music for fun 3 times a week: got a total of 6 times, so no. But 6 times is better than none.
- Read 5 books: yes! I even finished 6.
- Continue Chinese, “War & Peace” and „Year of Wonder“: done (I did not listen to one piece of music but will do that today, so all is well.
- Genshin Impact: I reached all my video game goals
- Spend time with family: yes. Husband and I went to Vesakh and on a hike and biked to the beer garden. I did not spend extra time with the boy but that’s okay.
So, all in all I’d say the month went better than I thought it had. Bedtime procrastination continues to be a big problem. I did buy a course and short book about it, we’ll see if that results in better evening habits.
Anything marketing related continues to be a struggle, as does spinning and making music outside of teaching. Still, I am happy with the month as a whole.
And now I get to think about what I want June to be like.
