I did go to bed way too late, and had another super slow morning without manuscript time. Looks like we have a new unmovable routine but not the one we would have liked. Sigh.
I did do my usual yoga, five minutes of meditation and such in between I talked with the boy who had to leave early for uni. Husband and I talked quite a bit over breakfast and then I got a text from the boy that his train was canceled. He pressed on, took the next train but then had to change trains and the next train did not come. The train after that was on the station display as „arriving in 7 minutes“ for 15 minutes or so, and by then he would have been an hour late for a 90-minute lecture. And that was if everything went smooth after which it probably wouldn’t have.
So he turned around and came back home.
At that moment I told my husband that I was pretty sure my one afternoon student wouldn’t be able to come because she uses the trains as well and I was pretty sure the train chaos would not be sorted until the late afternoon.
Since I hadn’t been able to get my favorite chocolate in the first two tries I decided to walk to the other health food store and try my luck there.
Not only did they not have that chocolate, they also were out of the vitamins I buy for the boy. So, of course, I had to buy four chocolate bars as a consolation. I shared with the boy but still, more sugar than I had wanted to eat.
After that I walked to the nearby supermarket and things went pretty well. Came back home and helped briefly with making salad after putting the groceries away.
We ate lunch as a family which was nice. The boy looked up if Leibniz-Kekse get their name from the mathematician, and yes, they do. We did not eat cookies, we ate rice and beans:

After lunch I first read a bit (while eating two chocolate bars), then I played Genshin for a while and then did the dishes. I got ready for my student fifteen minutes before her lesson, and got a text from them that they couldn’t make it because of the train chaos ten minutes later.
I did updates on my websites and wrote a blog post on my poor, neglected author blog. Five minutes after hitting publish I got my first comment
It was spam.
I ate dinner and played some more Genshin Impact. I reached a few milestones, including getting the sword I wanted for my new character. Turns out I already did half the necessary subquests before, so it didn’t take all that long.
In between everything I also spent quite some time talking with the boy and he helped me with video game stuff. I am completely unable to put teams together for endgame content. Which isn’t easy with my limited roster, but well.
I started writing this post, made a list for today, and opened the manuscript again very briefly. I am currently rereading everything because I’m a little stuck. Rereading should be easier than writing new stuff but somehow I still procrastinate.
And today will go on another little excursion. Fun.
At least I hope so.
