But at least I went to bed on time and slept well.
It was so cold that we decided to start the wood stove first thing in the morning. Which meant I could do my complete morning routine including some manuscript time.
And then I did some admin, started researching project management stuff (bad time for it), tried to renew a prescription via email and some other stuff.
I did the breakfast dishes, and then went out grocery shopping. Since tomorrow is a public holiday I decided to try and squeeze all the shopping in yesterday.
I went to the supermarket where I get yogurt (that is currently under renovation, and has barely any shelves left but there was yogurt), a different supermarket on the way for the stuff I usually buy elsewhere, and then the health food store.
I distinctly remember my husband saying, „I’ll just put both kinds of laundry detergent on the list anyway, it’s not that far to walk home from the health food store.
Which is correct. Only, I was not only lugging the detergent home, I also had six pounds of yogurt, two bottles of tomato pulp, two huge bottles of hand-soap refill, two different kinds of bread and a huge bag of muesli. That was a heavy load. But I made it. This is why we do strength training, by the way.
My husband was already eating when I unpacked the groceries but it was fine. I was ravenous when I finally sat down to lunch:

When I was almost finished with eating my husband brought a load of laundry and told me he had already put the third drying rack in the living room. So instead of taking a much-needed break I then folded two loads of laundry and hung up the third. (Which means we only have one drying rack in the living room right now, much better.
I then got an email back from the doctor’s office that they couldn’t renew my prescription via email but that I would have to come in and have them scan my insurance card. So guess what I’ll be doing today…
I had less than ten minutes to sit down, read and relax before teaching.
I have to say the rest of the day was less hectic that anticipated, I had a total of three students cancel. Unfortunately, I was so exhausted at that point that I didn’t really do much besides reading and playing my video game.
I ate dinner before bodyweight training with the boy, then he did the dishes while I played some more. He ordered me to do some rather stressful endgame stuff and ended up playing instead of me on the last level. I think I know what I did wrong but also I still need to strengthen my characters.
We talked, I played some more, I made a list for today that includes switching my walk/run for a bike ride to the doctor’s office, started writing this post, did my foot and knee exercises and went to bed.
Today I’ll teach the second new student of the week and then I’ll have a pretty long teaching day. But tomorrow I’m having a day off from teaching, so that will be nice. (Never mind that I’m planning to do publishing admin then, piece of cake.)
