I went to bed half an hour late. The culprit this time was the misbehaving spinning wheel that meant instead of ten to fifteen minutes of relaxing while plying I wrestled an uncooperative machine. I think I know what the problem is, the lubricant I was using on the bobbin seems to have gone off, so I guess I’ll look in the daytime when I’m not in a rush.
Still, I slept like a log and started my day at the usual time. The ‚no phone before breakfast‘-rule is not going well, I found myself knee-deep in newsletters before I realized what I was doing.
So, I wrote morning pages and I also opened the manuscript but only for a measly five minutes.
There was some yoga and meditation and breakfast. I even got a round or two of knitting in before it was time to go outside for my walk/run:

It was rather windy and turned so stormy later that there was a warning in my weather app. Everything was okay while I was out, though.
Oh, and on the way I passed the construction site behind our house where they were delivering two garages and setting them on the property. Impressive. I was happy I could squeeze through on the sidewalk because the street was all closed.
I only went outside for half an hour, then came back and jumped into the shower right away because I needed to catch a train.
I had an appointment with the eye surgeon.
Lights were shining in my eyes, they were measured and looked at from lots of angles and then I saw the surgeon himself. Two people talked to me about different kinds of lenses I could choose from and which would be best for my situation. Teaching piano is a bit of a special situation and means you need sharp sight at different distances. Also, I am already used to multi-focal contact lenses.
I went back home with a detour to pick up all the chocolate and some trail mix. (Almost) no sugar challenge be damned. I was 45 minutes late for lunch but that was okay because I had a somewhat later teaching start.

I only took a small piece because I wanted to leave room for dessert.
I read a bit and talked with the boy briefly before getting into teacher mode.
Taught all afternoon, then met with my friend, the coach. I now have a neat new list of deliverables for the next time. You know how I like homework.
Afterwards I was basically toast. I ate all the trail mix and a chocolate bar, collated some data about my writing time the last month (it has gone up significantly in the past two weeks but not quite high enough), started writing this post, made a list for today and opened Genshin. The boy and I fought some bosses and that was basically it, I was just too exhausted at that point.
And yes, today will be very busy as well. But not as exhausting, I hope.
