But first I went to bed an hour late and then had to get up super early. So yeah, I am very tired.
Everything went very well, though. I got up, made myself a breakfast that I packed into my backpack including a thermos of tea, I caught the first train of the day and while that one was two minutes late that didn‘t bother me because I had half an hour to change trains in Munich.
The next train was fifteen minutes late which bothered me more because I wanted to catch an earlier train on the next leg.
In the end I had four minutes to get from platform 3 to platform 10 and thanks to traveling with just a small backpack and also thanks to regular jogging I actually made it.
That train was late as well but again I did get my connection and from the last station it was only five minutes to the hotel where I am staying.
My room was ready already, despite the website saying it wouldn‘t be before 3 in the afternoon, so I even got to put my feet up for a bit before lunch.
I met the other writers at lunch for the first time, they are all very nice and a rather mixed bunch. One came all the way from Australia, even.
The coach is very good, it is all delightful.
But. I might run out of yarn. I finished the first ball today, and am at a length of about 21 cm already. The whole thing is supposed to be 52 cm, so I‘m not sure that will last me until Sunday night.
I guess we‘ll see, I brought two more balls but I won‘t need all of them, so I‘ll slow down with the knitting a bit.
In the evening we tried going out for dinner but the few places in walking distance were all closed so we ended up getting sandwiches and chips at the supermarket and then ate them outside sitting on a bench.
I completely forgot to take any pictures, so there‘s that.
And now for more retreat. And more knitting, of course.
