I was super distracted right from the start, my husband had an early dental cleaning and that threw our morning routine off. He did try to not disturb my routine by having breakfast in the annex but that didn’t work. I just let myself be thrown off right from the start.
So I did abbreviated morning pages and skipped yoga and meditation. I opened the manuscript but only for a few minutes. I still haven’t really made a plan for going forward and so I wrote a few new words on the new romance novella, and later after breakfast I added some chapter headings to the romance novel and looked at the four parts to see if they could stand on their own as serialized parts. The answer is: somewhat. Some parts work better than others. On the other hand I am hesitant to chop the story apart. Publishing it in parts would account for the enormous length but then there would be other drawbacks.
So I keep not being sure.
My husband came back rather early, and then it was time for errands. I bought some junk food at one supermarket, went to the pharmacy, the bank (unsuccessful), the tea shop and the health food store. I put everything away and then ordered Chinese food and went to pick it up:

I read a bit while eating chocolate and then played some Genshin. I finally finished the quest that had been bugging me for days.
Then it was time for teaching which went well including the new student. Christmas song season has officially begun. In a way it’s fun, seeing the students being exited about songs they love is great. On the other hand playing and listening to Jungle Bells played badly daily until Christmas is a bit much at times.
I ate dinner while reading, then played some more Genshin, started writing this post, did my Chinese app, made a list, tidied the kitchen (but did not do the dishes) and watched a few minutes of C-drama.
Today is a weird day because while there is no school it’s not a holiday. So we are teaching in theory but in real life some of the students aren’t coming because it’s a holiday for them. So we often end up sitting around waiting for long stretches of time. Well, that gives me time to read, so that’s good.
