Went to bed late and overslept, so my morning was a bit hurried. I still did yoga and meditated, and then had breakfast with my husband.
He had gotten a new guitar amp the day before, something really small so he can play in his studio in the evenings without disturbing the neighbors. When he unpacked it it was way smaller than expected. The power cord had a UK plug. And it didn’t fit into the amp. Huh.
But in the morning while making breakfast he remembered that there had been another black box in the package and it turned out the power cord went into that and the box gets plugged into the amp. So he could finally try it out. He likes it and I think it is quiet enough to work.
Meanwhile I decided to switch my day around and do the cleaning in the afternoon. I also took a picture of the socks I finished a couple of days ago:

Since I had forgotten to talk with the boy about lunch I spent most of the morning being unsure about what to do. The Asian place where we often get takeout was closed for lunch because of the public holiday. I didn’t want frozen meals and I also didn’t want frozen pizza when we’re planning to make fresh pizza today.
We moved the fresh pizza to today because my husband was going out to have lunch with a friend.
The boy didn’t answer my texts so I made the executive decision to pick up some burgers. The burger place is just far enough that the food gets cold on the way home, so I decided to bike.
Things went swimmingly. The food was ready the second I entered the place, it fit into my bike basket with a bit of pushing and was still hot and tasty when I arrived home.
(The boy had to microwave his but, well.)

I even remembered to tell them to leave the tomato out, hurray!
I ate that and half a bag of licorice while reading and then I sat around for a bit. And some more.
I was okay with it because before lunch I had actually opened the manuscript and finished proofreading book 2. Hurray! Now, as soon as I get that formatted, the blurb written and the cover made I can publish.
Sometime during the afternoon I decided not to clean the house. Instead I pulled the iPad and controller out and played ‚Genshin Impact‘. For the third time in my life? I have no idea what I’m doing. The boy looked at me fumbling around, tried helping me and suggested I play with a keyboard and mouse instead. I could also use the touchscreen but that is rather unwieldy.
I finally did the dishes around 5, started setting my new bullet journal up a little later and then did bodyweight training with the boy. I unearthed a new pair of compression gloves and it seems they work better than the ones I have been using for half a year. Who would have thought?
I finally ate dinner, talked with the boy some more, helped him with a brief bathtub declog, read some more, talked with my husband twice because he had invited another friend to come over for making music who first decided to come and then reconsidered when it was pointed out to him that using public transportation on the last Oktoberfest weekend of the year while there are all sorts of interesting respiratory infections in the air might not be a good idea.
So I guess I’ll clean the house today after all.
