Phew.
Did the complete morning routine including opening the manuscript and stuff, my blood pressure was in the optimal range, and I even got going early after breakfast. Husband and I both had a lot of things that we wanted to do.
I called my mother and we talked for almost an hour and then I helped a little chopping things for lunch and folded two loads of laundry.
Lunch was pretty good. Originally we had planned to make lasagna but that takes a long time even if you don’t make the pasta from scratch, so my husband browned the ground beef because it was close to going off and made risotto instead:

The combination of zucchini, shrimp and corn is not something we’ll repeat soon but it was alright.
After lunch I had another Zoom call, one of the three monthly ones I attend. I mostly just listened to it while doing the dishes. And after that call I was very determined to finish my planning homework. I mean, spending a week on planning for the quarter does seem a bit excessive but I was set on doing the course all the way through. (I did really go all the way through. Of course.)
I had stalled out at the place where you set your goals (only three, worded in a specific way), then your projects and then all the tasks you’d need to get there.
All the prep work meant I found the goals quickly. Projects were pretty clear as well, and when I summed up all my writing projects and how much time I would need to finish them I found they should actually fit into the available time. We’ll see if my planning will turn out too optimistic in the end.
So, I have a long list of writing projects that are all pretty clear-cut, I have a goal of setting the house in order where I’m planning to do one thing per day (and I have a roadmap how to do that one), and the third goal is to continue with exercise, more sleep, learning and such.
I even had 20 minutes left before bodyweight training with the boy.
We did that, both of us trying to make progress on pull-ups with mixed results. I was very happy that I managed to tighten the screws on one of the dumbbells, though, we had been worried about them coming loose.
Then it was finally time for dinner and I even got to plan out the week before – yet another Zoom call, this one my monthly coaching session. Where I could talk about the planning course and all the things in detail and got to recommend books to other writers. Always fun.
The call ran over so I started writing this post at a time when I already should have gotten ready for bed but, well.
And now I’m off to a bright and shiny new week. With a bright and shiny new plan. Which will make all the difference for sure.
