I did get enough sleep, wrote morning pages and then decided to go online and skip the rest of my morning routine. Husband and I had a harmonious breakfast.
I knitted a bit and did the dishes and was still pretty early for my walk/run. I decided to start over with Couch to 10K. I felt pretty exhausted and mostly walking with just a few short running intervals felt like the right thing to do, especially since it was rather hot outside:

I could have sworn I took a selfie but my camera roll says no.
I came back home, took a shower and chopped all the things for lunch. There was pasta salad that was the last hurray for the garden:

The rest of the family also had tomatoes.
More talking with husband, then I played some games, did the dishes, cleaned the washbasins and toilets (including declogging a drain and cleaning the bathtub), started a load of laundry and then it was almost time for my weekly writers Zoom.
And there went the rest of my to-do list.
I tested my new Zoom setup, I have that new mic stand and my podcasting mic and it works very well. The whole desk is a bit cramped now but that should get better once I finally declutter and tidy.
I thought about my goals and projects for the next quarter all day but never got around to actually writing them down. I really hope I get that whole process finished today. Somehow. In that magical free time, you know.
Writer Zoom was very nice even though I basically didn’t get to talk, and I had to leave early. I mean if you can call 90 minutes early.
I met the rest of the family, heated some leftover takeout up and we sat and watched the last episode of season 5 of ‚Columbo‘. I found it somewhat weird, the format is unusual for the series as well but the boy said he enjoyed it. Husband was so done with the day that he nodded off repeatedly. He had been super busy, picking potatoes and mowing the lawn in the heat.
After that I was very determined to finally get around to my homework but first I played some more of „Chants of Sennaar“. And then some more. I got almost all the way through but then called it quits with some chase scenes. I don’t really like those anyway and even more so when I’m ready for bed.
I started writing this post, did Duolingo, made a list for today and finally went to bed.
And what do we learn from this?
Skipping the morning routine and going straight online does result in bad choices at night.
I also have to say, looking at how I’m using my time that nice plan I am currently making is already looking more and more unrealistic. I don’t know. I’m still hoping to get swept away by a huge wave of motivation or something.
Will keep you posted.
