I went to bed rather early but was still extremely slow in the morning. No manuscript time at all. I went for my walk/run and was so out of it that I left without my hat even though it was sunny. I thought, never mind, I can do without. Turned the corner, found the light way too bright and only then figure out that I had forgotten to put my contact lenses in. Running with glasses is not much fun so I turned around and started over.
Which confused my husband tremendously because he was just coming back from his run, saw me at the end of the street and then I turned around and walked away from him. Of course, I hadn’t even seen him.
Since the weather was delightful there were hordes of people out, all of them sporting either dogs off the leash, cigarettes or strong-smelling perfume. I should have taken my asthma spray. Other than that it was fun:
Husband timed lunch exactly right so I could take a shower beforehand. The food was very good:
After that I had a nice little break, playing games on my tablet. And a little longer. I didn’t even read which is rather unusual. I sat there until the boy showed up for his lunch at 3.30 and we talked for long enough that I went straight over to my studio for my weekly writers Zoom.
We mostly talked about „Europe“ and traveling, not really that writer-specific. I like these people very much but sometimes I’m not sure if I should spend my time better elsewhere.
After that I played some more games and went on social media before the rest of the family showed up and we watched our weekly episode of ‚Columbo‘. This one was very good, even though it was a bit disconcerting that we had seen the same actor play different killers in three different episodes.
After that I continued to sit in my chair in the living room scrolling and playing on my phone like an idiot. Should have taken a better look at the post-it on the remote that says, „brush teeth first, please“.
I went to bed too late, not even making a list for today which made me feel behind when I woke up but, well, nothing I can do about that.
And now I need to run but first here is the promised picture of the hat I started on Friday:
