I went to bed really, really late. Because taking a shower in the evening is the worst. And bringing myself to get cold and wet before bed takes at least an hour or two. (I know this is ridiculous and I also know once I am in the shower I really enjoy it, but still.)
And then I had to sit and read until my hair was at least partially dry. You know how it is.
By the way I finished the „Magic in Manhattan“-trilogy by Allie Therin before bed (completely unrelated to my late bedtime, of course), turned around and started reading „Proper Scoundrels“, the spin-off series. I’m about a third through book three and am really enjoying it.
So, there were morning pages, no time for manuscripts of any sort, yoga and meditation, then breakfast and then I had to rush so I would catch my train to Munich.
Everything went very well, I was ten minutes early, even, and the service at the Apple Store was impeccable. The reason my right AirPod wasn’t charging properly was because one of the contacts in the case seemed to have shorted out, it was black and sad. Since the case was still under warranty I just got a new one and things were all done.
My plan had been to go and have a cup of tea or maybe even lunch nearby but it was so early that I decided to just pick up some things I can’t get at home and return. They didn’t have the crackers I wanted but I got salt licorice chocolate and looking on my watch I decided to skip the fancy health food store in the city and head home.
It was raining when I returned and my train was ten minutes late but I didn’t care. I went to two different health food store and back home.
Husband was just about to finish lunch and it was delicious, just the right kind of food for a cool, rainy day:

The first thing I had seen when coming back home was an email from my sister asking about our mother’s email address. Hijinks ensued. Some of you might remember how the boy and I kept telling my mother to „look at the notes“? Well, all I can tell you is that said email address and everything she needs to know is written on that sheet of paper. Also, I made an account for her which I told her at the time but she didn’t remember so in the end my sister made a second account in her name. This will all be fun for sure.
Afterwards I took a break, read some, ate chocolate and played silly games on my iPad until I could finally make myself do the dishes. It was already pretty late when I opened the laptop and started proofreading book 2 but at least I did do it.
My husband had a friend over who played drums in the basement during that time and I was very grateful for my newly restored noise-cancelling earphones.
Then there was bodyweight training with the boy. We were both feeling a bit under the weather so we decided to take a covid test each:

I ate dinner and read some more, did Duolingo, started writing this post, then did my foot exercises for the first time in ages, got pulled into reading the gay romance novel I wrote a while ago, got ready for bed way late, and then the boy came downstairs with a bit of a fever and wanted some ibuprofen..
And today we will stay home because it’s supposed to rain like crazy, not the best weather for yet another excursion. I’m really looking forward to it.
