I tried getting up early and failed. Again. This is getting really tiring, literally. I even skipped yoga again because I was late.
Breakfast with my husband was nice but also we were talking about climate change through most of it which was not that nice. I went online after that, managed to open the manuscript for twenty minutes and then was even later. In the end I went walking/running and my husband did the dishes.
There was no rain when I was out in the woods, woot!

I was out for 45 minutes, mostly walking with a bit of running in between. I was feeling super exhausted in the way that makes you fell like you’ll burst into tears for no reason with the tiniest provocation, so I decided skipping the last two running intervals in favor of walking was alright.
At home my husband was frantically cooking while doing the dishes, not the best way to work, so I got to take a shower right away. Lunch was leftover kidney beans with leftover ground beef and some freshly cooked rice:

Then chocolate and a short break before teaching.
After my first student I had a big 60-minute break that I used to work on our taxes. That stuff always makes my head hurt. I also realized that the way I wrote all the things I need to do for taxes down isn’t all that helpful. „Figure out how I did them the year before“ might be correct but it doesn’t make the figuring out easier later.
The problem is that I’m usually in too much of a hurry when I do them and afterwards I don’t want to think about the taxes. Anyways, with that break and another one a little later I got about a third of the way through, maybe half.
I taught some more including a potential new singing student. That was fun. The student only speaks English well and so I taught my first ever singing lesson in English. It went well but there are a couple of things I couldn’t figure out how to say. Like, „Atemstütze“ even has a Wikipedia entry but only in German. And in Spanish, apparently, though there is the word „appogio“ in Italian. It might be „breath support“, now that I’m looking at the English Wikipedia article on singing.
Anyway, after that I was answering a few messages when the boy appeared in my studio. He wanted me to help him study for his exam. I said I’d need to eat dinner first.
So we ate together, talked briefly with my husband, and then I got to become a human flashcard app for formulas around quantum mechanics in theoretical physics. Something I have no idea of. And it doesn’t help that it was all handwritten by the boy in a hurry. Is that an n or an h? Is it important that there is an arrow through the h or not? How am I supposed to know if it’s okay to say 1 instead of n in this instance? Well, I guess I’ll learn.
After that there wasn’t much time left before I had a coaching call. It was nice, just the coach and two of us coachees instead of the usual four or six. So I got to talk at length about my struggles with buying all the non-fiction and adhering to bedtime and getting things done. I challenged the coach to give me an idea I hadn’t had before and she actually pulled through.
Since there were only two ion us the call ended early which was nice. I then started writing this post, made a quick list and did a Duolingo lesson before going to bed.
Today might be a little full, I should get the taxes done, teach all the students and maybe, just maybe also get groceries. Though the boy offered to go shopping instead of me. Maybe I’ll take him up on that.
