Good thing I spent most of it indoors.
I had another slow morning where I didn’t open the manuscript but did the rest of the morning routine. A nice breakfast with my husband, then some knitting. And I ordered some more yarn for the striped cardigan, I will continue using only three colors of yarn and make something else from the olive green. And the other various leftovers I have. That leftover yarn is the bane of my existence an the reason there is always more yarn, never less.
Like, I could probably make two more crochet blankets from leftovers but they’re never quite the right colors or quantities.
I finally opened the manuscript after breakfast, then did the dishes. While I was sitting in the living room writing (I’m trying to establish a routine of writing at my actual writing desk in preparation for summer break) the rain was coming down like crazy:

So I waited a bit longer before going on my walk/run:

I came back in time for lunch but my husband was still right in the middle of cooking and said he didn’t need help so I jumped in the shower.
When I came out again it turned out he did need help after all but, well, I was not available. I set the table and we kept talking right through lunch:

I tidied the kitchen a little, took a break and couldn’t get going again. This is pretty typical weekend behavior, sigh.
I finally got myself moving again just in time to fold some laundry and do the dishes before my weekly writer Zoom. Not the tax stuff I had planned to do.
Writer Zoom was nice and gave me ample knitting time. I had to leave that early again because I was supposed to meet the rest of the family to watch ‚Columbo‘. Very nice episode, if a bit long („Forgotten Lady“).
Then it was time to start writing this post, do Duolingo and such and go to bed. And thaw the Black Forest Cake for today.
