I had such great plans for the day but then I turned the lights out 45 minutes late, again. So most of the morning felt sluggish and slow with a big part of my brain offline.
Which also meant I did not open the manuscript in the morning. I did do five minutes of yoga and three minutes of meditation, so the bare minimum.
Husband and I were talking over breakfast, about Gibson guitars and the day ahead and such while I knitted on the new cardigan project:

I did the dishes and then started the weekly cleaning by changing the sheets on my bed. I sorted recycling and changed the towels and cleaned the mirrors. I folded a load of laundry and then it was time for lunch. There have been zucchini creeping up on us again, so first there were zucchini blossoms:

And then there were stuffed zucchini with rice and leftover ground beef:

And then I would have had enough time to finish cleaning and do something useful like taxes or writing but instead I sat on the kitchen bench all paralyzed and ate all the chocolate.
Note to self: do not buy gianduja chocolate ‚for the family to share‘. You won’t share. The rest of the family won’t even know you got it, you’ll eat all of it in a moment where you feel all exhausted and low. We don’t like this it makes us feel bad. So stop buying that stuff, thanks.
Anyways, I did manage to stop the sitting around paralyzed just in time to finish cleaning and start a load of laundry before my first student of the day.
I had three cancelations that day, all one after the other which meant a very light teaching day that started late. I taught my two students, did the weekly Jigsaw Explorer puzzle in the middle, then wound the new sock yarn into a ball, changed into sweats and a sports bra, started hanging the laundry up and waited for the boy.
We did bodyweight training even though we both were still sore from Wednesday, and we did the harder exercises.
And after that I felt like someone had pushed the reset button. I was hungry, tired and sore but I was also happy and full of energy with a much calmer mind that did not feel half-asleep. Huh.
I ate dinner (and some more chocolate, yes, I know), did my foot exercises and Duolingo after starting this post, spun while watching ‚Word of Honor‘ (still so good, sniff) and went to bed.
Today I will attempt to do all the things once more and then I’ll tell you how it went.
