I woke up from the alarm after going to bed way too late again. It seems I have a nice routine going, going to bed an hour late, waking up from the alarm and then lounging in bed for hours without doing anything.
On the bright side I did finish reading „Pagans“. Excellent book. I read on Bluesky that there will be a sequel which is great. It will take some time, though.
The boy needed to go to uni again so I helped with that. I had a ton of plans what I wanted to do but in the end didn’t do very much.
But, at least I did go out for a walk/run:
I would have run all the running intervals, even, if I hadn’t forgotten to unpause my running app after taking this picture which meant, I was nominally still running while putting the trash can back where it belongs.
Before I left the boy had texted me he’ be back for lunch and since I was already super late I asked him to make frozen pizza. Which he did:
Yes, I am perfectly aware that we have a backyard full of produce and I just ate frozen pizza twice in a row. I’m hoping to do better today, especially since I don’t want to explain to my husband why the kohlrabi he picked on Monday is still in the fridge.
Speaking of backyards, of course I watered most things. Twice.
The boy and I talked a bit after lunch, I took a shower, mended a pair of sweatpants (twice, I had to rip the seam back out because it was atrocious), folded laundry, sat around unable to start anything and then it was time for bodyweight training.
The boy and I hadn’t trained for a week or so and, wow, did we feel it. We’re also changing the program again. Since we’re not getting stronger at all at the moment we’re starting the next phase of our training program. Which means spending more time and doing things that are a little harder.
I’m not quite sure if switching to a Couch-to-10K and to a harder strength training regime at the same time is the right way to go. Not because it will be too hard or anything, just because it means running for an hour or more three times a week plus longer sessions of strength training three times a week.
I guess I’ll find out if that will work or not. It should, though, adding 10 to 15 minutes on should be doable.
And yes, I am also perfectly aware that I should be very cautious every time I hear myself say something ‚should be doable‘.
I’ll just stop scrolling on my phone. See, easy-peasy.
After training we ate dinner, then I read a bit more, started writing this post, did Chinese and some dishes, made a list for today and watched some C-drama while knitting.
And now I need to do all the errands and all the grocery shopping for the week. Whee!
