I went to bed past midnight and got up after a too short night. I managed morning pages but the rest of the morning routine went out the window because I needed to polish my shoes, think about jewelry and makeup and such.
The three of us went to Munich and for once all the trains and subways were running without a snatch. So we were half an hour early.
The wedding was pretty short and everybody was very moved. It feels as if catholic services are always a lot shorter than I expect. The boy was baffled how everyone always knows what to say when and how to get up and sit down and such. Well, that’s what happens when you go to church for years.
After that we left the wedding party who went to the reception without us and found an Indian restaurant that my husband and I had visited pretty often in the 90s. The food was very good:
Don’t worry, that was only a small part of my meal. There was also soup as a starter.
After that we walked back to the main train station and went back home. By then it was so hot that we were actively using every bit of shade we could find on our way. The poor men were even worse off than me because they had to wear long pants and closed shoes. As the boy said, he was wearing the exact same combination of pants and boots that he also wears when it’s freezing.
This is my new dress, by the way, when we were back home:
I took a break, went to my weekly writer Zoom, helped my husband make Greek salad for dinner, we all ate together again, I did Duolingo, started writing this post, watch part of a C-drama episode and went to bed.
I think I’ll do absolutely nothing today. Yep, sounds like a plan.
