I went to bed late again and then set my alarm earlier because I wanted to help the boy get to his exam on time and print something out for him. So I did that first and my complete morning routine after.
My husband built a fire again which was nice because while it was very sunny all day it was also freezing.
I did yoga even. Then my husband and I ate breakfast and the boy rushed off. He did reach his train despite being late because the train was also late. Then even later until his train was 18 minutes late which would have made him miss the subway. If the subway hadn’t been late as well.
Mind you, that was the prof who insists on everyone showing up ten minutes before the exam is supposed to start or earlier and who won’t let you take the exam if you’re late.
The subway was late. Late enough that he was late for the exam but – they did let him in anyway. The prof made a note of it, though, which doesn’t bode well.
Meanwhile I did my usual morning things, talked with husband, ordered new running shoes for him and loads of stuff from the online pharmacy, then went to the health food store and back, changed and went for my walk/run.
I think I’m actually getting a bit fitter which is nice. My feet are also starting to hurt a little again which is way less nice.
Lunch was leftovers, the fridge was so stuffed with them that we were running out of containers to keep them in. My husband was late, so I took a shower before eating and even had time to cut my fingernails which was sorely needed. It’s always a bit embarrassing to have long unkempt nails as a music teacher.
As for the leftovers there were potatoes, veggie rice, polenta, fennel in tomato sauce, and somehow my husband and I ended up sharing a rather meager portion of fried potatoes, left half the potatoes and all the rice for the boy and my husband wanted to eat the polenta for dinner:
I didn’t really mind all that much because I had lots and lots and lots of chocolate. Which I ate, all of it, before it was time for teaching.
I then went upstairs for the second time that day because the boy hadn’t answered my texts and I was afraid he’d forgotten his dentist appointment.
Good thing I did because he was busy playing computer games and eating potato chips and was almost late getting ready again. At least there were no trains involved this time.
I taught three students, worked a little on the WordPress theme course (and found that I had screwed up the next to last step of the practice website and now I need to decide whether to redo it or not), then taught two more students.
I spent almost an hour reading stuff on the internet, then ate dinner, sat around some more, talked with the boy, did my foot exercises and Duolingo, wrote a list for today, watched some C-drama and went to bed.
Next up I’m doing a hearing test at the ENT doctor’s office really early. My first and last student of the day already canceled, we’ll se what else the day will bring.
