Also, as often, the idea of popcorn is more attractive than the actual experience of it. But that was at the end of the day.
I tried doing a reset again, with the start of March, even though I still haven’t made any plans. On the other hand it’s pretty clear that I’ll just continue to do what I’m doing plus changing the habits I’m not happy with.
I got up, did my complete morning routine (still baffled why I need more than thirty minutes between waking up and starting my morning pages, but well), including meditation, ate breakfast, answered messages, did the breakfast dishes while listening to classical music and then went out for my walk/run.
I’m starting week 2 now which means I upgraded to a whole 1 1/2 minutes of continuous running. Which was both fun and very strenuous. But hey, my feet didn’t hurt!
I came back home to homemade pizza:
Then I did not have time for the usual Saturday slump. First I talked with the boy a bit, then I watched a webinar which I left early for my weekly writers meeting on Zoom. Which I also left early to meet the rest of the family to watch an episode of ‚Columbo‘. We just started season 3 and while the first episode had some parts that were dragging it was very good overall.
The thing that wasn’t good was the popcorn.
You know, when we watch TV as a family I try to make it special by providing snacks. I thought popcorn would be fun. Turns out my husband doesn’t like it. But hey, we had leftover pizza so he could eat that.
So I made microwave popcorn for the second time in my life. Turns out, if the packaging of the popcorn drags so that the turning things inside can’t turn, the popcorn at the bottom of the packaging will burn. Oops.
The kitchen is still smelling like burnt popcorn. I made another package of salty popcorn (not a favorite) and of caramel coated (better) and only the last batch came out fluffy and edible.
The boy and I still ate everything that wasn’t burnt, after my dear husband went through the first batch and picked all the burnt bits out.
After that I tried watching the live Q&A of a course I’m taking but I was all listened out, I just couldn’t pay attention anymore. So I watched an episode of C-drama, decided to skip starting this post, and went to bed on time.
And now – Sunday!
