I actually slept for a full eight hours, yay! And then did my complete morning routine. Very slowly because I let myself be pulled in all kinds of directions.
One of those directions was a newsletter that mentioned the „War and Peace“-challenge. The book has 361 chapters and each of those is just 3 to 4 pages so reading it in a year is completely doable. So I bought it in ebook. I decided to get a German edition because I don’t need to read everything in English.
I wrote some fiction words and found out some interesting things about some of my characters. Which gave me an excellent idea for the villain in book 3. But first I need to write the first one.
Husband and I talked again but not nearly as much as the day before. Then I went and did a grocery shopping roundtrip, the health food store first, then the supermarket where I get the yogurt and then the smaller supermarket in walking distance for the rest. Where I suffered from bad impulse control and bought all the sweets and snacks.
Meanwhile my husband did the dishes and some laundry and cooked lunch:
Then I sat around reading, playing silly games, eating all the sweets and snacks and wasting time until it was almost time for teaching. I did manage to do the lunch dishes beforehand, though.
I taught one student, then ate dinner and taught another one. Then I did Duolingo and wrote this post, opened my bullet journal the first time this year, made myself a mug of tea, did my foot exercises, watched some C-drama and went to bed.
I’m hoping today will be a little more productive than that. I still haven’t reviewed 2024 or set goals for the current year and I think it’s about time.
