As I said, I turned the lights out at 12.30, slept well and woke up at 6.30 before the alarm. Started writing morning pages, went upstairs to wake the boy in the middle and went back to it. Forced myself to do yoga, enjoyed it and found that I really need to get my strength back because that was extra wobbly and meditated.
I ate breakfast alone in peace, my husband had decided to come over later to give me space. He had also seen that my light was still on the night before when he went to bed.
We talked a bit and I tried explaining why I’m doing things as dumb as not sleeping when super tired.
Then there was the usual Friday frenzy of dishes and cleaning with a break to order Chinese, then more cleaning, picking up lunch and eating with my husband. The boy was at uni. There were spring rolls:
And the usual fried noodles with chicken for me:
Then more talking, a brief conversation with the boy over text, a short break and then I finished the cleaning. Yeah!
I briefly toyed with the idea of opening the manuscript as well but then the boy came home and wanted to tell me about his day, I had to change and my first student was five minutes early.
I taught all afternoon. My voice was slightly better but I did not sing. At all. Okay, maybe two or three notes. It is interesting, how often I just want to demonstrate something, sing a note here or there. And singing lessons where I can’t sing are way less fun for everyone. But well. I connected with the students anyway and they did learn something. Even if what they learned was that if a doctor gives you pain meds you should really take them when you’re in pain. And no, that is definitely not bad for you. Bodies might be self-regulating but only up to a point.
After that I ate the second half of my noodles for dinner, and some extra special Italian cheese my husband got from a friend of his mother. Very nice. And lots and lots of speculaas
Then I did a brief Duolingo lesson and my foot exercises, watched half an episode of C-drama with knitting and a cup of tea and went to bed.
And now the weekend..
