I actually went to bed at a reasonable time and slept well. Phew. I did my complete morning routine and my husband and I had a pretty early breakfast. Overall the mood in the family is harmonious again which is always great.
Then the boy came downstairs to tell us of the US election which let the mood plummet again. He decided that warranted taking a mental health day.
While I was feeling better overall my voice was definitely not in top form, always a problem when teaching, especially with voice lessons. I was relieved to see that the one Wednesday student who takes both piano and singing lessons was scheduled for piano that day, though.
I had a slow morning and was a litte late with the dishes. I decided against exercise in any form (well, apart from early morning yoga) but managed to cut my fingernails. I also pulled out the steam inhaler. And learned that every time your voice is hoarse it is laryngitis. And only steam reaches your larynx, lozenges don’t.
Lunch was all the leftovers:
After lunch there was only half an hour left until teaching. That lasted all the way through to 7. Then I spontaneously cut my husband’s hair, we had been talking about the haircut for about a week but never go around to it. Then I finally ate dinner (and more chocolate) while reading, started writing this post, did Duolingo, tackled the dishes, watched a bit of C-drama while knitting, inhaled some more steam and went to bed.
Today is grocery shopping day, of course.
