Not that fall break felt like a real holiday.
I woke up too early and did my complete morning routine. Somewhere in there my husband showed up who had been up since 4 and wanted some company.
I had woken the boy up at 6. We both expected the trains to run again but they didn’t. So all the poor people who wanted to get into Munich on a Monday morning did have a problem. The train wasn’t running and the additional busses they had used last week weren’t there either. So he stayed home for his first two lectures (he should be able to catch up from home) and then took the bus and subway later. (And it looks like there might be no trains today at first as well.)
Husband and I spent a big chunk of the morning talking again. But I also went out for a walk in nature, that was nice:
Lunch was a little late so I took my shower before. I had been looking forward to wearing my new pair of jeans that day but after squeezing myself in and sitting down I decided that this was not the day I would spend in a new pair of tight pants I could barely zip and changed into the old pair with the hole at the waistband.
There was potato red beet casserole:
Then my husband I talked some more, I did the dishes and had a rather short break before teaching non-stop until 7 pm.
Then I looked at the brad selection in the house, found that I didn’t like any of them and pulled some leftover potatoes out to fry them:
I even had dessert because one of my students not only came in on her birthday, she also brought me a chocolate cupcake:
And then I got my ukulele out and played a few songs because I had wanted to do so for several days. Which meant I did not have time to write or watch something.
I also talked with the boy about the train situation and with my husband again, tried my new alarm clock and the case for my glasses, id some Duolingo, started writing this post, opened the manuscript and tried writing for two minutes and went to bed.
Today will be busy as well and I even might cook lunch for a change.
