I went to bed at a reasonable time, woke up early-ish and did my complete morning routine including yoga. Some time during the night I had the thought that my throat infection might be bacterial and so I made plans to get some more meds later.
Husband couldn’t sleep and came over early while I was still doing yoga. It’s weird when someone stands at the door and watches you even if he is meaning well. I am very proud of then taking my blood pressure monitor with me to my studio and still doing three minutes of meditation and looking at my blood pressure. Which was a bit high. Funny that.
There was breakfast and a long, emotionally loaded conversation. I am happy to say that I can knit those short-row wedges now without making mistakes while holding a conversation that needs a lot of attention.
Despite my throat and head hurting like crazy I did feel a little better overall but I did decide to skip bodyweight training yet again.
I walked to the pharmacy for anti-bacterial throat lozenges and mouthwash, anti-acids for my stomach after taking one of my husband’s nose sprays. Those lozenges and mouthwash are tasting awful but well.
Husband is cooking easier meals at the moment which greatly reduces family stress. I still would have liked some wieners to go with the pasta salad but I take less stress any day:
My weekly author check-in on Zoom was an hour earlier this week because we already did the time change but the US only does it this weekend. I barely managed to hang up the load of laundry and do the lunch dishes before then but I did manage.
There were only a few of us and so the check-in didn’t take quite as long as usual which was nice. Then I did some more set-up in my bullet journal and tried getting clear on where I stand with all my projects. I also really, really wanted to play ukulele a bit but alas, that didn’t happen.
Husband needed a couple more of those deep, emotional conversations, so we talked before my Zoom, after, and then while I was eating dinner and had just started to read my book. On the other hand I always have just started reading.
Around 7 the three of us met to watch an episode of ‚Comlumbo‘ together which was a lot of fun. The boy has never seen any of them but did enjoy it, so that was nice.
Then more conversations and more emotions. I decided to skip my complete evening routine and watch a bit of C-drama but found myself nodding off almost instantly. It took a bit to drag me off to bed.
Unfortunately, I had one of those very rare nights where I was wide awake right after snugging up in bed. I gave up eventually and read for an hour or so. I also got myself a second blanket and some wool socks which helped.
I didn’t sleep well, turned my alarm off but woke up around 6.30 anyway.
I might be having tonsillitis but I’m not sure. Will apply all the antibiotic things and probably not do much today at all.
