I had turned the lights out too late again, slept well and woke up before the alarm. And then I continued lounging in bed until I didn’t have time for my morning routine.
Breakfast was a little shorter than usual because there was so much stuff to do. Husband decided to ditch the bolognese sauce he had made the day before because he thought the ground beef was a bit off. So he started over again.
I did manage to vacuum the old part of the house and clean the sink and toilet in the main bathroom, wiped the bathtub down, started a load of laundry, went to the health food store for more provisions, came back, tried decalcifying the, um, thingies at the tip of the bathroom faucets, sorry I’m too lazy to look up how they’re called. That did not went as smoothly as expected so I decided to just put a new one in the sink faucet, put the one that was in the sink into the bathtub faucet and ordered half a dozen more.
Then I helped my husband a bit with cooking and took a shower while he was walking to the train station to pick our guests up.
And then it was all talk and people for the rest of the day. We made lasagna and salad and talked:
After lunch I started doing the dishes and our female guest helped me while the men went downstairs to set all the synths up. Female guest and I stayed behind.
After a bit of talk she went out for a walk and I folded laundry and hung the load I had started in the morning. She came back earlier than expected because the weather wasn’t nice and then we sat in the kitchen making the kind of conversation that people make who don’t know each other well and don’t have any shared interests.
I did get a lot of knitting done.
Then there was dinner, more talking, and then my husband took one look at me and declared that I had reached the point where I can’t people anymore, no hard feelings but … To be honest, I had reached the point of no people, no not even someone I like, please, don’t look at me some time around Thursday afternoon but well, I always was a very well behaved child.
Husband and I did the dishes together, then he gathered the wine and both guests and led them to the annex so I could have some peace and quiet.
I did Duolingo, started writing this post, and then went to bed with a book, a beer and some chocolate.
Today male guest wants to play some Satie for me, his wife is meeting a friend in Munich and there will be more music-making in our basement.
