I only remember that I just barely managed to clean, I taught very few students and in the evening I found myself at a point where I was too low on energy to even contemplate watching TV so I skipped writing my daily post, left the dirty dishes on the counter and retreated to bed with a book.
This morning I got up at the usual time, did my complete morning routine for the second time in a week, washed all those dishes, folded all the laundry, hung up a new load and helped my husband make lunch:
I ate all the chocolate after that. In case you were wondering I wasn’t getting enough food.
Then I fell into a Saturday slump of epic proportions and did the dishes. My husband had asked me to help him put out longest ladder back in the garage but when we got there there was a car parking in front of it in such a way that we couldn’t open the garage door. Or maneuver the ladder around it. Even if we could have opened that door without crushing the car.
Well, my mother-in-law had one of my husband’s nephews visiting. She had told my husband but he had forgotten. He was not amused and told me to leave the ladder right there on the path between the front door and the garage.
Then it rained.
I continued sitting around doing nothing. Somewhere in between the boy had gotten up and we had talked a tiny bit.
I only realized that I was waiting again when I heard the nephew leaving. So I went to fetch my husband so we could finally put the ladder where it belongs but he was busy listening to loud music and I didn’t want to disturb him. He startled easy and so I don’t try to talk to him when he is distracted.
So I texted the boy to come and help me with the ladder. Phew.
At one point my husband had vacuumed the whole annex (again after I had done it the day before but way more thoroughly) and then mopped everything. He likes to do that deep clean at the beginning of each school break and was determined to do it early this time.
Dinnertime came and went and I still hadn’t been able to do the exercise I wanted to do so I just ate something. Then did my bodyweight training, then sat around some more because I didn’t want to get into the shower until I finally managed to get myself clean at 9 pm.
I started writing this post, had a beer in front of TV and went to bed.
Oh, and somewhere in there I also ordered some Lambrusco for my husband and a snath for my husband’s scythe. (That’s the shaft or handle, yes, I had to google that as well, both in German and in English. The German word is Sensenbaum.)
