I went to bed too late, woke up from the alarm and barely managed to squeeze in my morning pages before breakfast. I don’t remember what reason I had this time but this is what my sleep consistency looks like:
My aim is to turn the lights out no later than 11, better half an hour earlier. My median time for lights out is almost midnight. I also know that I need about 8 1/2 hours of sleep, what I’m getting is 7, sometimes a little more. This is not working.
I mean, my bedtime is actually pretty consistent. Still. No wonder I’m constantly tired.
I did not manage to do yoga yet again. Of course I had plans to do it after breakfast. Yep, very funny. What I did do was go through the huge pile of sheet music on the desk in my studio to find a song I needed for a lesson later. Then I put the pile back together exactly as before instead of getting rid of the pieces I don’t need and can throw away. Ugh.
I did do the breakfast dishes early because I had a long, long list of things I wanted to do. Then I went out to pick up my new orthotics and go to the tea shop. New orthotics are actually fitting me better than the old ones. Not surprising, my feet have changed in the past year.
Speaking of feet I still am having mild foot pain so I haven’t gone barefoot much.
When I came back home my husband was sitting in a huge pile of basil leaves chopping pine nuts for homemade pesto. So I washed my hands and got busy prepping basil and chopping it. He cooked the pasta, I set the table and then found something was bugging me. We had put pine nuts, olive oil, garlic and basil in the pesto.
But no cheese.
Fortunately we still had some, we even used both pecorino and parmesan:
Never mind the tomatoes, my husband put them there for decoration I hate raw tomatoes and didn’t eat them.
Then I had big plans to start the weekly cleaning but instead I played silly iPad games. And read. And finally managed to change the towels and also the sheets on my bed.
There was teaching and afterwards I ate dinner while my husband was frying something. He looked at me and said, „This is one of the days where you probably end up going to bed at 11.30“. Um, no, these days on those days when I go to bed real late it’s more like 1.30 in the morning but, well, he was not wrong.
I had had big plans of doing bodyweight training before dinner but ended up too hungry and exhausted for it. Interestingly, after I finished eating and a round of Instagram and Twitter I spontaneously exercised anyway. And added a couple of foot exercises for good measure.
Then I was just about to start doing the dishes when the boy showed up, reheated some capellini and talked with me and so I started writing this post.
Then I did the dishes and Duolingo, watched the episode of C-drama I had promised myself and went to bed. Earlier than midnight.
So I guess today I’ll do some cleaning and laundry. It would be a great idea to do cardio as well but I’m not sure.
