Let’s see, I went to bed at 12.30, not exactly what I had planned. I woke up from the alarm after 6 1/2 hours of sleep and – picked up my phone. I had to skip the morning routine but at least I did manage to meditated for three minutes and do yoga after breakfast.
I only did half the things I wanted to do which shouldn’t have surprised me.
I did the breakfast dishes at 11.15, walked to the supermarket where I get yogurt, walked to the health food store and back home. My feet were a little sore after yesterday’s walking session and I actually also had sore leg muscles which is weird because I have been walking all over town. But apparently muddy paths use different muscles.
But the important thing is that while my feet were complaining a little there was no plantar fasciitis pain. Or well, almost none. Since this was the first day in two weeks completely without pain meds I needed to get used to feeling the usual twinges in my body but that didn’t take long.
I came back home, put the groceries away, helped my husband a little with cutting veggies and herbs and then we had lunch:
The mangetouts and herbs are form my husband’s garden.
There wasn’t much time between lunch and teaching and I used it to play a few silly games, read and eat chocolate.
Speaking of silly games, I decided that I don’t want to spend quite as much time on them anymore and deleted two. I played them daily and they weren’t really making me happy. I still have lots of similar games on my iPad but those are a bit more self-limiting. I run out of energy in the game and need to wait to play more, or I get frustrated and stop. I know from experience that I probably won’t miss them after a few days.
Teaching was nice and rather brief because my two last students of the day both canceled and that left me with only two hours of paid work for the day.
I then promptly hung around reading and downloading (and buying) books. Mostly from Skye Kilaen’s Queer Romance Newsletter. And even though I just got the new Sarina Bowen I pre-ordered I could not resist „An Idol With Love“ by Piper J. Drake. I know her from the travel podcast she has with Gail Carriger and since I love, love, love Gail Carriger’s Tinkered Stars series and since the title is pointing to the BTS song „Boy with Luv“ (at least I think so) and the sample was pulling me right in, and also I have been a bit meh about the books I’m reading at the moment, well, I had to. Of course.
So, then all I wanted was to sit, read and eat but I did bodyweight training instead. By then my husband’s friends had come over again for the final rehearsal before one of the brothers will drive back to Berlin.
My mother-in-law called because she had remembered that she had put some berries she had picked into a pot with jam sugar and left it on the steps to the top floor. She had wanted to make it into jam on Monday. Oops. But. My husband had come to the rescue. As he was looking over her kitchen on Monday he noticed the pot and – put it in the fridge. Yeah!
His mother is having more tests but it seems everything is alright so far. She’ll be back home probably on Thursday.
I ate dinner, sat around staring at screens and then remembered that I needed to put the trash can out in the evening. And the one for compost this morning.
Then I did all the dishes again, watched some C-drama while rehearsal was going on in the basement and went to bed.
