In fact, my slump was so big that I didn’t even start writing this post or made a list for today even though I had all the time in the world. Instead I stayed up until 1.30. Which means I am just a tad tired today.
Things I did do yesterday include all the dishes, some Duolingo, helping with making lunch, starting to think through the novel-publishing project and unearthing two checklists for it from other people. (That I both looked up, read „hire this person“ and „hire that person“ and „one year out: get website“ and then closed immediately but still, it’s a start.)
I also spent some time figuring out how to get pictures (or anything) from my husband’s phone to his computer while he had a friend over. He wanted to show her some of the pictures but since they’re both at the reading glasses stage and dislike cell phones he wanted to show them on a bigger screen. Well, turns out the only way I can get those pictures on his computer is to put them on mine and then shove them over through remote access from my computer.
I then tried to convince him that he should use my 2018 laptop with an additional screen and keyboard instead of getting a new iMac but he said he needs time to think about it. Which probably means no. Those two men in my life dragging their feet about getting new hardware when needed is driving me up the wall. If it were me the boy would have gotten a new phone in December and my husband would have a new computer three years ago. When I bought myself a new laptop and thought about giving him the old one. But not only does he dislike cell phones he dislikes laptops as well. No idea why.
If he got my old gear I would probably buy myself a new monitor because I really like having a bigger monitor or using two screens at times but I don’t really need it.
Husband also went a little wild with cooking. He made the last chervil soup of the year according to him but he said the same the last time, and apparently I forgot to take a picture. And then he made penne arrabiata that were not hot (because of my poor stomach):
We also did covid tests, both of us, and both were negative, yeah! And taught two students. And right after starting my first lesson one of my husband’s students stuck his head into my studio asking where my husband was. So I went looking for him all around the house and the garden. And then guessed that he probably left with his friend for something at her house so I dug out her phone number (of course his cell phone was safe in his studio) and called her. And yes, He was at her place and came back immediately. He had completely forgotten about the time.
I also talked with the boy on and off and we sent each other links to Twitter posts as usual. He even ate lunch with us which was nice.
And I tried a new set of exercises for plantar fasciitis. The exercises seem solid and felt great, mostly strengthening the foot muscles and calves, but I’m not sure about the muscle scraping so I’ll research some more before using a tablespoon (or investing in a dedicated device) to scratch my calves.
You know, once I start listing everything out it feels as if I did do some things yesterday.
Anyways. Now I need to do all the things. Clean! Research! Prep for coaching call!
