Well, going to bed around midnight is definitely too late. Especially when you wake up at 6.30.
On the bright side I did have enough time to do my complete morning routine for a change.
Talked with my husband over breakfast, did the dishes and listened to half of the first movement of Beethoven’s last piano concerto, knitted a bit on the mystery shawl and realized that I am definitely doing the slipped stitch edging wrong, walked to the health food store and bought all the food and then to the tea shop because we needed my husband’s breakfast tea. I took the backpacks from our trip upstairs where they belong and spent quite a bit of time playing silly games and reading „How to end a love story“.
The boy was at uni so we ate alone, there was rice and red beans with ground beef:
I opened the manuscript of book 1 and tried to figure out how to prepare the document for formatting. Whelp, that did not go well. Since I have no idea where to start it might take a bit to figure out.
Then I read and played some more. I looked at the dirty dishes and pots but since the boy hadn’t eaten yet they were still all full and so I decided to leave them til evening. Bad decision. The boy hadn’t slept in the night at all but instead went straight to university. Until he was way too tired and came back. He said hello while we were eating lunch, then disappeared and probably slept for ten hours straight or something.
I met with a potential new student and taught one singing and one piano lesson. I saw the sheet music of Fanny Mendelssohn’s opus 4 lying in my studio (I had downloaded a free version after listening to one of them because of the „Year of Wonder“-book), started playing a bit and found that I want to get a proper version, this one is very hard to read.
Then I ate dinner, read some more, wandered off to the internet, procrastinated about the dishes for an hour or so (well, I am halfway through the novel, so that’s something), debated not doing them at all or anything that evening, started writing this post, did Duolingo, did the dishes, watched some C-drama and went to bed too late again.
Today I’ll get my thyroid levels checked which means fasting until 11, that will be fun for sure. I should also think about getting gas for the lawn mower. My husband asked me some time in the fall, I totally forgot, and when he mowed the lawn yesterday morning he had to stop before being finished because he ran out of gas. Biking to the gas station to get gas is not my favorite thing to do. The doctor’s office is halfway between home and the gas station but I don’t think bringing an empty canister to a doctor’s appointment is a good idea. Or biking all the way to the other end of town on an empty stomach around noon. I mean, I will certainly pick up yogurt on the way but that is a bit different.
Anyways. Thyroid levels. We’ll see how that turns out.
