And I probably shouldn’t.
I didn’t feel all that good after waking up at 5 unable to go back to sleep. I heard my mother-in-law traipsing around upstairs (the floorboards go squeak, squeak, squeak with ever step), turned around, tried to think of something nice and calming but sleep didn’t happen anymore. Half an hour later the boy showed up to return the thermos and get himself something to drink and I gave up on sleep. At least I got to talk a bit with my son who was heading off to bed.
I started the day with social media again, I totally lacked the willpower to do anything else.
Then there was the usual breakfast and knitting and talking with my husband this time about some misunderstandings from the day before. I knew I had a lot of stuff to do that day but couldn’t make myself move at first. It was almost noon again when I finally started changing the sheets on my bed and then started cleaning. I skipped cleaning the mirrors but did half of the rest before lunch. Which was inspired by leftover chicken leg:
That rice salad was delicious!
I did take a short break after and then started teaching early. I had a 15-minute break between the first two students and actually managed to vacuum the old part of the house and clean all the washbasins and toilets. Not very deeply, mind you, I took less than 12 minutes but still, they are much cleaner than before.
After that it was back-to-back teaching until 6.30. While I was teaching my second student of the day my new smartwatch arrived. It was all very exciting, my first time needing a one-time-password to accept a package. I would have loved unpacking right there but I was good and waited until I was finished teaching.
Teaching was very nice, especially the singing lesson. I hadn’t seen that particular student since the end of September. I felt that my voice was well enough to sing at least a bit but found that after the lesson my throat was a bit sore again. So, more rest needed, I guess.
When I came into the kitchen I saw that my dear husband had done all the dishes, much appreciated. I set up the new watch by unpacking, holding my phone near to it and pressing ‚agree‘ a few times but then had to charge it first.
I ate dinner, started writing this post, watched an episode of C-drama, did Duolingo and went to bed early-ish. This time I had a cup of herbal tea instead of a beer.
Today I’m planning to knit and read a lot, otherwise I’m not sure.
