I did map out what I want to achieve in February. I decided to just give up on SMART goals and go with my gut this time. I’ve also decided this should be ‚back to routines‘-month with an emphasis on habits. I am pretending to be patient and sensible in that I’ll only ease back into my healthy habits one at a time but we all know that I will, in fact, try to jump in right away. And that probably won’t work.
I had another leisurely Sunday. There might have been some light housework and I called my mother and got the whole ‚how yesterday went all wrong‘-saga in great detail. We also had the „but I thought you don’t like spinach“-discussion yet again. For the record I do dislike strawberries and raw tomatoes. I’m not fond of caraway and nutmeg but can tolerate them if I must. The end.
My mother only remembers that I didn’t like that spinach-spaghetti-cherry tomato dish she loves so much and therefore thinks I dislike spinach on principle.
For the record, this is what we had for lunch and it was delicious. I would certainly want to eat it again but it seems it didn’t agree with my husband:
That is spinach lasagna and salmon. We fried the salmon on the side because of the boy.
In the afternoon I set up my goals for the month and the upcoming week. I am trying to get back into my morning routine, daily (or almost daily) fiction writing and I will do dry February. Wish me luck.
In the evening we all had a bit of the whiskey the boy got for his birthday. He tried to open the bottle on his own several times and failed. Seems playing guitar is good for something. The boy and I watched an absurdly boring episode of ‚Star Trek: Enterprise‘ and then soothed ourselves with a rather disturbing episode of ‚Torchwood‘. We’re almost halfway through the first season already. Sniff.I did watch another episode of ‚Love O2O‘ in the afternoon. I keep liking the series very much.
I did go to bed early, that was part of my nefarious plan to reach more of my goals by getting enough sleep first.
Today there will be all the routines, frantic lesson prep, quite a bit of teaching and some running/walking in the morning. Early to bed, I hope.
