Since I turned the lights out at midnight the night before I decided to sleep in until 6.30. So no yoga again and a slightly late breakfast.
The big thing for the day was the firewood delivery. Right after breakfast my husband and I started moving thing around outdoors because I had ordered twice the amount of wood than we needed or had space to store. Oops. I knitted a bit:
It was raining. It was nice that it wasn’t hot but dry weather would have been preferable. I was super-grumpy because I hadn’t done anything novel-related on the weekend and hadn’t sewn as well. I did manage to start typing corrections in while waiting for the firewood, at least.
We spent about two hours stacking wood, mostly all three of us. The boy chimed in without being asked which was nice. At 12.30 we told my husband to go inside and cook lunch and the boy and I finished the stacking. It was interesting, my main complaint was my hands hurting while the boy who does rock-climbing for fun had an aching back and was lacking endurance a bit. I could already tell that I’d be sore all over the next day, though.
Lunch was very good, chickpea curry and saffron rice with shrimp:
And there was some tiramisu left from the day before:
The boy helped me with the dishes and then it was almost time for a short train ride to get my prescription for allergy meds renewed. Everything went fine, I got what I needed and made an appointment to get my thyroid checked again in September, went to the nearby health food store and back home. I promptly forgot to go to the pharmacy on the way so I had to go out a second time.
Then it was a usual afternoon with the rest of the family showing up every ten to fifteen minutes so I spent the rest of the afternoon alternately helping them and scrolling through Ravelry.
Then there was dinner and an episode of ‚Eternal Love‘ and starting this post and then I actually turned the lights out on time for once. After doing a bit of evening yoga.
Today there will be a bit of teaching, some bodyweight training, I’ll walk to the pharmacy to finally get my allergy meds, the start of the ‚Publishing 101‘-course and the Wollkanal online knitting meeting in the evening. So no Star Trek today. And the course might only start after I have gone to bed, no idea when that will go live.
Looks like a full day ahead.
