I woke up early and spent the first thirty minutes just lying around thinking. I’m not quite sure if I should stop doing that or not. I did do yoga, so that was good. Then I forgot to thaw the blueberries for my breakfast. Which could mean only one thing:
Cake for breakfast:
My husband had asked for cake with the last of the red currants and meringue.
There were the usual breakfasts, a ginormous pile of dirty dishes from baking and all the breakfasts and then I went off to the grocery store. In the rain.
My husband made lunch:
Somewhere in between my new earphones came and when I tried them out by listening to some music I got tears in my eyes because the sound was just so good. Definitely worth buying.
More dishes and then an afternoon of teaching. There was a slightly dicey moment in there, when one of my new piano students sat down, I asked her, „So, did you bring me something new again this time?“ And she said, „I thought you said you’d teach me how to play chords on the piano today.“ Oops. That was the reason I have the „How to play bar piano“-book lying on my desk.
Good thing that thinking on my feet is one of the things I do best, I pulled out a song and showed her all kind of things.
Then dinner, a bit of talking with the boy who had a friend over in the afternoon to help the friend with some computer trouble (they got it running again) and then I not only worked on the podcast but got it almost ready for publishing. I still need to listen to it a write show notes but I’m hoping to get that done before the end of the day.
No work on the novel (boo!) and a little too late to go to bed but all in all a good day.
Today there will be the cleaning of the house and lots of teaching. I hope to get the podcast out and watch something nice tonight while spinning. Yeah, Tour de Fleece spinning didn’t really happen over the last few days. Other things seemed more important.
