Woke up early, did my full morning routine but only managed 12 minutes of work on the novel. Sad face. I did try, though. Talked with my husband and knitted, and got started on dishes when the boy was due for breakfast. The plan was to do a quick grocery run and then go for an actual run.
And that’s when things went sideways the first time. The bakery had a line out the door and onto the sidewalk. So I decided I didn’t need bread that much. Walked to the nearer supermarket and it was – still closed. One of these days I’ll learn but every time this happens I keep thinking they will surely be open again soon.
I could have gone to another supermarket but it was getting late so after wandering around for twenty minutes I got back home and went out for my walk/run:
Die I mention that it was raining the whole time. Which meant there weren’t all that many people out:
When I came back I almost contemplated going to the supermarket right away but that would have made me an hour late for lunch. Not good. So I took a shower and helped with lunch:
Doesn’t look as appealing as it tasted. Yum, lentil soup.
The plan was to record the podcast after lunch but every time I wanted to get started on something my husband showed up and wanted to tell me something. It is great that he loves talking to me so much but still. When I still hadn’t managed to get my butt in gear at four and the ky was looking darker and darker (bad light for filming) I just went out the door and to the grocery store.
It was pretty crowded. I saw someone without a mask at all. The sales person in the bakery wore her mask hanging under her nose. That made me grab two packets of yeast instead of something already baked. I’m not keen on eating something she had breathed on, sorry. And I have been wanting to bake Franzbrötchen for ages now.
I walked back home, had an early dinner, watched Voyager with the boy, slumped around for an hour until my phone’s battery gave out, re-arranged the dirty dishes so that breakfast would be possible the next day, wrote in my journal and went to bed. By then I was really tired what with the walking all around town plus some running and more walking. Oh, I ran every single running interval again. Good thing.
Today there will be finishing podcast prep, maybe the recording of the podcast but I also may not have the time because in the afternoon there will be another lovely virtual knitting meeting with Eliandhra. An episode of Firefly in the evening. Some reading of the novel-in-progress. More knitting for sure.
