Woke up early, not enough sleep, pulled out my phone and got immersed in the news.
Guess who didn’t get anything done all day?
I had a late breakfast, talked with the family, did the usual household stuff and went running/walking:
At least that went well. The weather was gorgeous if a bit warm, there were a few people out but not too many and – best of all – I even found my running shorts again. Turns out the mending pile isn’t all mending. Oops.
Laundry has taken over the house. I got behind about two or three weeks ago and haven’t been able to tame the laundry monster til then. Things get washed and hung up but never find their way into storage. I’m at that stage where you just pull clothes off the drying rack when you want to get dressed.
I was pretty happy because I actually ran all the running intervals. Yeah for being able to run for 90 seconds at a time!
By then most of my energy for the day was spent. I did some half-hearted yoga back home for three minutes, took a shower and had lunch:
By three or so I was hit with a major afternoon slump and that was it for the day. Instead of actually doing the things on my list I did ‚research‘ all afternoon. Meh.
We watched an episode of Voyager, had dinner, I knitted and spun a little, started writing this post and got ready for bed at a decent time for once.
Today I will do everything right, of course. There will be the grocery shopping and the testing for teaching students in person again and the folding of the laundry and putting it away for realz.
