Since I went to bed a little late yet again and ate all the things right before along with a beer I – didn’t sleep well or long enough.
Am I feeling happy with this decision? No. Would I do it again? Probably.
Nevertheless I did get up on time and did my complete morning routine. Yeah for yoga and meditation!
Husband felt lonely and under the weather while I was in „please, don’t look at me or talk to me ot be in the same room“-mode which makes things a bit complicated. (Who am I kidding, I still am in that mode.)
So I decided to scale back for the day. No walk because my feet hurt again, no grocery shopping and only a doable number of students.
In the morning I wrote an email to the student that hadn’t paid for months. We both hadn’t noticed and I really should have. On the other hand I did have a bit of a chaotic year. Again. I also started making a list of things I want changed on the book cover.
Just when I was about done my husband showed up and asked me to help with making salad. Of course I did. (For once I went to my studio to work. Seeing the cover on my big monitor was rather helpful.)
So I helped with the salad and we actually had lunch on time:
Most of the meal was from our garden, well, not the spaghetti and the cheese, of course. I even went outside and picked a cucumber but it was not the big one my husband wanted me to take but a much smaller one. Despite going outside twice and really looking I couldn’t find the right one.
After lunch I got started on making deodorant, something that had been on my list for many weeks, then took a short break. After that there was teaching, another very short break and another student.
The yarn I ordered for the Stephen West KAL arrived in a smushed box. Fortunately, yarn doesn’t mind being smushed and since there was an extra plastic bag inside the box nothing had fallen out.
I started writing this post, finally ate dinner, did Duolingo and went through all the boxes to find the fabric I want to use for making a new t-shirt. I was too tired and exhausted to contemplate cutting the pieces out but progress is progress. I tidied the kitchen and went looking for the pieces of paper I’d need later today. Then I sat down in front of TV with some knitting (no beer this time) and went to bed.
Today I’ll see the eye surgeon for a first appointment. I’m hoping I’ll be back in time to teach but we’ll see.
