Since I went to bed around 10 the night before I got to sleep for 8 1/2 hours. I’m not sure but I might not have woken up at all.
And what did my sleep app have to say in the morning? My readiness was – rest.
And’s that’s how I felt all day. I did do my whole morning routine, at least, opened the manuscript for once, did the huge pile of dishes from the day before that had mysteriously multiplied overnight (seems the boy finally returned his dirty dishes) and then we did another big cooking session. It took a while, including starting the wood stove, putting the roast in the oven, cooking the red cabbage for a few hours and making the spaetzle from scratch. I am very grateful for the leather apron because standing in front of the stove making the noodles gets hot. Afterwards my right forearm was completely red and splotchy. Fortunately that went away eventually. And here’s the meal:
I couldn’t decide which picture to use, so here’s the second one:
I took a break, did the dishes and then my husband started cooking again. He is expecting friends for a music session at some point this week and decided to prepare lasagna. So he cooked both sauces yesterday afternoon. He ran out of butter halfway through but my mother-in-law still had three unopened packages and let us borrow one.
Meanwhile I tried opening the manuscript again but failed, also did not do any exercise. I did fold half a load of laundry, though, and am happy to report that the drying rack in my studio is gone. For now.
Then I hung around reading stuff online, ate dinner, talked with my husband who had gotten a message that his friends would be coming on Friday, started writing this post, did Duolingo, still didn’t take a shower, watched something on TV while crocheting and went to bed.
Today finally the shops will be open again and I’ll hit at least the health food store.
