After going to bed after midnight because I talked with my son about language things I was a bit tired in the morning. I opened my phone and got sucked into a chat group on Patreon. Which tells me I should not open that app in the morning.
I did write my morning pages, skipped yoga because I was too late already but did do my three minutes of meditation and confirmed that yes, my blood pressure is a bit high after not enough sleep.
Ate breakfast with my husband and then he had to go to the dentist for a dental cleaning. I read a bit, went online again, and even opened the manuscript for fifteen minutes. I took my bike to the supermarket, came back home to a slightly stressed out husband cooking pasta e fagoli, helped leaning and chopping things, then put the groceries away, we ate yummy food:
Despite my best intentions I did buy a bag of gummy bears again and ate it all up after lunch. My first two students asked to do the lessons online which I gladly did even though teaching in person is much nicer. The next student didn’t show up, the next two were a delight and the last one called to say that she had no idea how to get to her lesson on time because of the train strike. I rescheduled her for next week.
During a break between students I did pretty easy bodyweight training and between teaching and dinner I actually did some exercises for my feet. I think I should do way more strength training, I’m getting unfit again and I think a lot of the pains and aches everywhere might go away if I were a little stronger.
I did finally break down and buy the novel my husband recommended in the Italian version. I already had bought (and not read) the German translation but had this idea of trying to read the original. We’ll see how that goes.
I started writing this post, did drink a beer after all, did Duolingo, a little lights yoga and watched some C-drama before going to bed early.
Today will be cleaning day and only three students. Who knows, maybe I’ll even fold the laundry. There are currently three drying racks with clean laundry in the house, time to put that laundry away.
