My alarm went off at 5.30. I should maybe turn that off since I’m not using my morning time for anything but Instagram and such. I finally got up at 7.30 (and no, I have no idea where those two hours went), rolled out my yoga mat and did Day 1 of a 30-Day yoga challenge. Stay tuned to see if I ever get to day 2.
I can tell that stretching is something I really need to do because a) my knees started hurting again and b) I can’t even kneel on the floor. Like physically can’t bend my legs enough to sit on my heels without a ton of pain because my muscles are too tight. So I guess I better gently stretch until I can sit like that again.
The boy had to get up early-ish again so he could sit through a video lecture. So when my husband showed up for breakfast the boy was already gone. There was conversation. I went upstairs to ask my mother-in-law about what to get her from the supermarket then walked all the way there and bought food. My husband cooked lunch:
I did the dishes. And stuff. Still no idea where the time went. That’s what I get when I don’t sleep enough.
I taught three students. It was rather nice and quite a bit of fun. In singing lessons I have started to mute my mic when students are singing along with the recording. I mostly did it so I could sing more but we found out that it’s better for the students as well. Even though they don’t hear me and I’m a little out of sync the still get to see my posture and facial movements. Which makes it easier to imitate. And makes them feel less alone when singing.
Then another hour evaporated through scanning sheet music, sending emails and other prep work. At least I managed to get the less intimidating part of my homework done. It was mostly research which is usually pretty easy for me. (I’m one of those people who do research for fun.)
Dinner was had and then I went to bed.
Today there will be the cleaning of the house, teaching one student and some podcast prep. There will only be the one student because of May Day which is a public holiday. The one lesson was the only one left to reschedule. Soon I’ll be all done with teaching extra lessons left over from before lockdown. Maybe I’ll finish sewing the masks I started last Sunday, we’ll see. There might also be the watching of Star Trek.
Homework? What homework?
