I woke up super-early, had a good start and then wandered off. The time just made poof!
I did go to the health food store, helped with making lunch:
Did the dishes right away and talked with the boy, and then sat down to work through the first few lessons of the „Strengths for Writers“-Workshop. The first task was to find out my strengths. The result is surprisingly accurate even though I swore my way through the test. I really got riled up about the false dichotomies the test is starting from like the idea that one is either a thinking or a feeling person. Or the idea that everybody works in teams and has groups of people around them all the time.
But, as I said, the strengths that test ascribed to me feel pretty on point. I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. Oh, and by the way, learning is one of my major strengths as well (who would have thought), learning for learning’s sake and gathering as much information as I can. Duh.
All of that meant that I totally didn’t have time to work on the podcast and then I actually forgot to do strength training. Yes, I’m still working on my time management skills.
I did cut my husband’s hair, watched some Star Trek with the boy and self-diagnosed a niggling health thing that has been bothering me for a while. I hope my self-diagnosis is correct. If it is things will look up shortly.
I ended the day as I began it, with reading, eating and procrastination. Not recommended. I can whole-heartedly recommend the book I’m reading, thought, it is „Sticking to the Script“ in the Smartypants Romance realm. Fun!
Today will be the day I do everything better, of course. There will be running and working on the podcast and more Star Trek and definitely less food.
